Walter Spath practices in all areas of real estate, representing numerous government, as well as private clients. In addition, to representing landlords and tenants with respect to retail, office and commercial leases. Over the past two years, Spath has represented purchasers and borrowers with more than $200 million of property acquisitions and borrowing and has represented lenders making more than $100 million of secured loans.
Professional Background
After graduating from law school, Spath went to work as an associate in the San Francisco office of Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell structuring foreign investments in U.S. high-tech companies. In 2002, he and Charles B. Christensen formed the firm that is now called Christensen & Spath LLP, a boutique law firm specializing in real estate, leasing, municipal and government, affordable housing, tax, low-income housing tax credits, secured lending and construction and litigation in the same areas.
Personal Background
Spath is originally from New York, but has resided in California since 1988. He has been married to his wonderful wife Tammy for 12 years. They have two children, Sophia and Kai (Walter IV), and live in Point Loma.
