Julie Park is an associate in Morrison & Foerster’s product liability group, with a focus on pharmaceuticals and consumer products.

Her graduate work in chemistry and experience as a pharmaceutical research scientist give her a firm grasp of the technical issues involved in each case.
Park’s pharmaceutical practice consists primarily of defending clients in failure-to-warn cases.

As part of that practice, she manages complex cases in mass tort and multidistrict litigation proceedings, and regularly works with expert witnesses. She has successfully first-chaired a jury trial and a bench trial to verdict.

Park also advises clients regarding product liability issues (including warning and labeling requirements under ANSI and the Consumer Product Safety Act), product warnings and recalls, and risk assessments.

In 2009 and 2010, Park was awarded the Wiley W. Manuel Award by the California State Bar for her pro bono contributions.

Park is an active member of Athena San Diego, an organization that promotes professional growth for women executives, and rising managers in science and technology. She sits on the associates' steering committee.

Park received her A.B. in chemistry from Harvard University, magna cum laude, in 1999, and her Master of Science in organic chemistry from California Institute of Technology in 2002, where she was the recipient of a National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship. Prior to law school, Park was a medicinal chemist for Pfizer, Inc., researching new drugs for the treatment of cancer. She received her juris doctorate from Harvard Law School in 2008.

During law school, she was on the board of directors and was also a student attorney specializing in landlord-tenant law at the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau, a nonprofit law firm that provides free legal services.
