Puja Sachdev practices exclusively in family law handling dissolutions, child custody, child and spousal support, and property division matters in addition to temporary and permanent domestic violence restraining orders.
Sachdev graduated cum laude from Thomas Jefferson School of Law with her juris doctorate in 2006, and obtained her Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Nevada, Reno, with a dual major of marketing and management, and a minor in Japanese in 2000.
She completed her Master of Science in business administration, with a concentration in financial and tax planning at San Diego State University in 2009, and received the certificate for personal financial planning from San Diego State University in 2009.
Sachdev is the only family law attorney in the greater San Diego area with the designation of Certified Divorce Financial Analyst.
With an extensive business and financial background, Sachdev has a distinct advantage in understanding the financial issues in a family law matter.
As well as being a member of numerous organizations, Sachdev is the treasurer of the South Asian Bar Association; serves as co-chair of publicity, website and outreach for the 2012 Women’s Resource Fair Task Force of the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program; and is vice-chair of the ethnic relations and diversity committee of the San Diego County Bar Association.
She is also an active member of the San Diego standing committee of the family law executive committee of the State Bar and Lawyers Club of San Diego.
Prior to her career in law, Sachdev worked as a research analyst for Franklin Templeton Investments.
She is the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Legal Research and Writing, and received the Certificate in Law and Social Justice.
She has volunteered for the Family Law Facilitator, the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program and the Princess Project of San Diego.
