Alyson Amerson is an attorney with Doyle Lowther LLP where she specializes in personal injury, elder abuse and complex litigation on behalf of defrauded consumers. Prior to joining the firm, Amerson worked at a well-respected plaintiffs firm, specializing in catastrophic personal injury, products liability and elder abuse. Her recent successes include settling numerous multimillion dollar cases against San Diego Gas & Electric for damage from the 2007 San Diego Wildfires. In addition to other achievements, Amerson litigated a boating accident trial to verdict with plaintiffs being awarded more than $1.2 million in damages.
Originally from South Florida, Amerson braved the cold winters at the University of Michigan where she graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in psychology. In the winter of her junior year, Amerson spent a semester studying abroad in Florence, Italy.
Amerson went on to receive her law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. During law school, she was a member of the Women's Law Caucus and International Law Society. She also put her psychology degree to good use as a volunteer in the university’s Mental Health Clinic, representing both minor and adult mental health clients in administrative hearings.
Amerson is admitted to practice in all California and Florida courts, as well as the United States District Court, Southern and Central Districts of California. Amerson is an active member of the San Diego Bar Association and the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego.
Amerson and her husband live in Ocean Beach where they enjoy all that San Diego has to offer.
