Caroline Perry is the associate general counsel of the San Diego Padres, a position she has held since 2011. Perry’s practice focuses primarily on contracts (including sponsorship agreements with major national brands and venue contracts for concerts and other events), management of outside litigation counsel and employment law. Perry also served as the Padres’ interim director of human resources from November 2011 until May 2012.
Notable accomplishments during Perry’s tenure as associate general counsel include the sale of the Padres in 2012, installation of stadium-wide WiFi at Petco Park, renegotiation of the Padres’ spring training facility lease in Peoria, Ariz., and amendment of the Joint Use and Management Agreement between the Padres and the city of San Diego for the management of Petco Park.
Prior to joining the Padres, Perry was an associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP in Menlo Park. At Davis Polk, her main areas of practice were capital markets and general corporate representation for public companies. Perry graduated from the Columbia University School of Law with a J.D. in 2007. Prior to attending law school, she worked for BlackRock, a large asset manager, as an account manager. During this time, Perry was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. She graduated from Stanford University in 2001 with a B.A., with honors in human biology.
