Jacob L. Stipp graduated in 2003 from Indiana University-Bloomington with a bachelor of arts in political science and criminal justice. Following his undergraduate education, Stipp worked for the Social Security Administration for several years, where he received extensive training and experience in the analysis of medical injuries and their short and long-term effects on human functioning. During his time with the SSA, he was also a union steward, handling grievances through mediation and arbitration. Stipp's work as a union steward eventually peaked his pre-existing interest in pursuing a career as an attorney.
Stipp graduated with his juris doctor from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco in 2010. While in law school, Stipp was in the Honors Lawyering Program and achieved Witkin Awards for the top grade in civil procedure and practical legal writing. In addition, he earned Certificates of Specialization in employment/labor law and business law, with distinction, and was presented with the Academic Excellence in Labor and Employment Law Award 2010.
During law school, Stipp interned for a legendary plaintiff’s personal injury firm in San Francisco, The Cartwright Firm. Since law school, Stipp has continued his unwavering devotion to plaintiffs and vigorous advocacy for the injured. He is an associate at The Ellis Firm where he plays an integral role in working up and trying personal injury, wrongful death and elder abuse cases. In his short tenure with The Ellis Firm, he has already assisted in recovering more than $1 million for the firm’s clients.
Stipp is a member of the William B. Enright Inn of Court, San Diego County Bar Association, Consumer Attorneys of San Diego and Consumer Attorneys of California. He is admitted to practice in all California state courts and in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.
