Tyler Theobald is an associate at Paul, Plevin, Sullivan & Connaughton. Theobald specializes in representing employers throughout California, defending employment claims in both state and federal court and counseling businesses on a wide range of employment-related issues. Most recently, he obtained summary judgment for a university in a whistle-blower retaliation case, and obtained a significant fee award for his client after prevailing on an anti-SLAPP motion.
Theobald regularly speaks to business owners and human resources professionals on employment issues, and has been published on topics ranging from wage and hour issues to corporate governance. Theobald was also recently elected as co-chair of the Labor and Employment Section of the San Diego County Bar Association.
Theobald graduated from the University of California, Davis, in 2003 where he received the Chancellor's Outstanding Senior Leadership Award for his service to the university. He obtained his law degree from the University of San Diego in 2007. He lives in Encinitas with his wife, Michelle, and their son, Caden.
