In just three years at Casey Gerry, Jason Evans has prosecuted many multimillion dollar cases involving high-stakes class actions, personal injury, and products liability litigation, including unfair business practices, serious and catastrophic injury, wrongful death and traumatic brain injury. His broad experience involves both state and federal courts throughout California and nationwide.
He has contributed on many of the complex, multidistrict litigations of his firm, such as In re: NFL Players’ Concussion Injury Litigation, In re: Air Crash at San Francisco Airport, and In re: Sony Data Breach. He has represented consumers in class-actions against various corporate and financial institutions, including Apple, Target, Toyota, Chase Bank, Bank of America and American Express, among others. Evans has additional experience in whistleblower qui tam, data breach, consumer products, environmental tort and antitrust class actions.
His contributions as a lawyer in the San Diego community extend beyond the office and courtroom.
Evans was recently appointed 2015 vice chair of the San Diego County Bar Association’s Forum for Emerging Lawyers, representing thousands of young lawyers in San Diego.
He serves as 2015 treasurer on the board of directors for Youth Tennis San Diego, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving San Diego’s youth through the Barnes Tennis Center, as well as educational and athletic programming, including hundreds of after-school-tennis programs. Evans has volunteered more than 100 hours each year since 2011 for La Jolla Presbyterian Church as a musician. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Award from the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program in 2011 and the Wiley W. Manuel Award for Pro Bono Legal Services from the California State Bar in 2011 and 2012.
He remains an active member of the San Diego County Bar Association, Consumer Attorneys of San Diego, Consumer Attorneys of California, Lawyer’s Club, American Association for Justice, Federal Bar Association – San Diego Chapter, Public Justice and the Korean American Bar Association.
Evans received his J.D. from Washington University in Saint Louis in 2010, but quickly returned to his hometown, where he enjoys tennis, surfing, softball and family.
