Paula Oliveira Brunoro has representative experience defending individuals and entities before the Internal Revenue Services, Franchise Tax Board, Employment Development Department and State Board of Equalization. Oliveira Brunoro assists clients not only with tax controversy and litigation but also with international tax planning, offshore disclosures and business related matters.
Prior to her current role, Oliveira Brunoro worked as a law clerk at RJS Law where she assisted the associate attorneys with matters before federal and state tax agencies, and learned how to analyze a client’s tax liability, configure a client’s income and expenses, and manage new and ongoing client matters. Prior to joining RJS Law, Oliveira Brunoro served as a law clerk for a firm dealing with international business law, where she assisted attorneys with formation of business entities, international tax planning, and purchase of international real estate within the United States, Mexico and South America. She also assisted in preparing cross-border contracts, promissory notes, bylaws, articles of incorporation and minutes. Additionally, Oliveira Brunoro has vast experience dealing with the intricacies of Brazil’s tax and business law.
Oliveira Brunoro is a licensed attorney in California and in Brazil. She attended law school in her hometown of Vitória, graduating first in her class. After successfully passing the Brazilian Bar, Oliveira Brunoro moved to San Diego to further her education and practice law within the American legal system. Oliveira Brunoro obtained a certificate in international business administration from the San Diego University for Integrative Studies, graduating with honors. Soon after, Oliveira Brunoro obtained her Master of Laws in comparative law with concentration in business and corporate law at the University of San Diego School of Law, also with honors. Oliveira Brunoro is pursuing the executive LL.M in tax at the New York University School of Law and expects to graduate in December 2015.
Oliveira Brunoro is fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French.
