George C. Miller is a senior associate in the San Diego office of Shustak & Partners P.C. His practice focuses on securities arbitration, litigation and regulatory proceedings, business and employment litigation and other disputes in the securities and financial services fields. Miller routinely appears before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Arbitration Division and state and federal courts in trials and arbitrations in California and elsewhere across the country. Working with the firm’s senior partners, Miller has helped recover millions of dollars on behalf of the firm’s clients and successfully defended against many high stakes, multimillion-dollar claims.
Originally from Long Island, N.Y., Miller moved to Texas with his family in the 1990s. He went on to attend the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated with honors in 2004. After college, Miller moved to San Diego, enrolled in law school and graduated summa cum laude from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2008. While in law school, Miller earned numerous high-grade awards and was invited to join the Thomas Jefferson Law Review on the basis of academic excellence. He was admitted to the California bar in 2008.
In the spring of 2013, Miller was elected president of the San Diego Texas Exes, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and the official local chapter of the University of Texas alumni association. Through that role, Miller works with his fellow board members to organize a number of fundraising and other philanthropic events throughout the year to raise scholarship funds for local high school students. When he is not cheering on the Longhorns, Miller enjoys sailing, guitar, the occasional round of golf and spending time with his family.
