Jenn French is an accomplished trial attorney with the Leventhal Law Firm who focuses on business litigation and white-collar criminal defense. A former AmLaw 100 litigator, she has represented individual executives and companies in commercial and business disputes in state and federal courts around the country. French’s civil practice spans all aspects of business litigation including contract disputes, economic interference and unfair competition, intellectual property disputes, fraud, employment and class action defense. Her criminal defense practice includes internal investigations, Securities and Exchange Commission investigations and enforcement actions, Department of Justice investigations and prosecutions, and related civil actions involving a wide range of federal crimes.
French is an active member of the Federal Bar Association, the American Inns of Court -- Louis Welsh Chapter, and the San Diego County Bar Association. In 2014, she was chosen as a Southern California Rising Star and one of the Top Women Attorneys in Southern California by Super Lawyers Magazine. French was also named to the San Diego Business Journal’s Best of the Bar for 2014. She is also a recipient of the Wiley W. Manuel Certificates for Pro Bono Legal Services from the State Bar of California and the Distinguished Service Award from the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program.
French graduated cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law. She served as an editor of the San Diego Law Review and was awarded membership in Order of the Coif. She earned the Virginia C. Nelson Award for Advanced Trial Advocacy. She also received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for the death penalty seminar and white collar crimes. French received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She previously attended Lawrence University and pursued a degree in music performance.
In her free time, French enjoys singing, reading and spending time with her husband, freelance photographer Nathan French.
