Jessica M. Blas is a native San Diegan, raised in the South Bay. Blas is a second-generation Mexican-American, and is the first of her family to graduate from a four-year university and to obtain a graduate degree.
Blas graduated in 2008 from the University of California Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts in political science, emphasis in American politics. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law in April 2012. While attending law school, she was an active member of the Women’s Law Caucus (vice president from 2011 to 2012) and the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy (Student Chapter). Blas was also the recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship for Ethnic and Cultural Diversity from 2009 to 2012. In addition, Blas was on the dean’s list and earned an Academic Achievement Award in legal skills and writing. During law school, Blas conducted an internship with the San Diego Superior Court Family Law Facilitator’s Office (South County Courthouse) and joined the Law Offices of Beatrice L. Snider APC as part of California Western’s clinical internship program. Following her clinical internship with the firm, Blas was hired as a law clerk pending admission to the State Bar of California. After she was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2012, Blas was hired as an associate attorney at the firm.
The Law Offices of Beatrice L. Snider APC is a 10-attorney firm that focuses on family law matters. Blas represents clients in a variety of divorce and family law disputes, including dissolution, legal separation, custody, visitation, child support, complex high-asset disputes, paternity, post-judgment and support arrearages.
Blas is a member of the State Bar of California, Family Law Section of the State Bar of California, San Diego County Bar Association, Family Law Section of the San Diego County Bar Association, San Diego Family Law Bar Association, San Diego Lawyer’s Club and San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association. She is fluent in Spanish.
