Brooke Blanchard Tabshouri is an associate with Fisher & Phillips. Her practice focuses on labor and employment law. Tabshouri advises and represents clients in a variety of areas of labor and employment law, such as wage and hour law, terminations, discrimination claims and employee accommodation. For the past year, she has served as a guest lecturer at San Diego State University's Human Resources Management and the Law class, speaking about sexual harassment, investigations, and employee discipline and termination. She is a member of Lawyers Club of San Diego, as well as the San Diego County Bar Association. She was named a Young Attorney by The Daily Transcript in 2013.

Prior to joining Fisher & Phillips, Tabshouri served as a judicial extern and later as a post-graduate research attorney for Hon. Richard D. Huffman of the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District, Division One, in San Diego, where she helped research and draft opinions for criminal, juvenile dependency and civil law cases.

Tabshouri is a 2011 graduate of Boston University School of Law. During law school, she served as a legal writing fellow, where she helped legal writing instructors develop assignments, advised first-year students on research techniques and coached moot court arguments. She also served as a student judge on the Stone Moot Court, student adviser, student admissions ambassador, and student member of the BU Law Faculty Appointment Committee. Tabshouri spent her third year of law school as a non-degree visiting student at the University of San Diego School of Law, where she was a member of the Journal of Climate and Energy Law and the Center for Public Interest Law, where she monitored and reported on the practices of state regulatory agencies, including the Medical Board of California and the Dental Board of California. She also interned with Massachusetts Correctional Legal Services and the San Diego Public Defender’s office, where she represented indigent criminal defendants in arraignments, jury trials and post-conviction further proceedings.

Tabshouri is a native of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and grew up in Sacramento. She received her B.A. from the University of California, Davis in 2006 with honors from the English department. She spent one year of her undergraduate education at Royal Holloway, University of London, where she was active in the European and Bollywood Dance Societies. Prior to law school, Tabshouri worked for the California state auditor, where she helped develop recommendations regarding prison construction and prisoner health care. She is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association and Lawyers Club of San Diego.
