Amy Hsiao is the founding attorney of Hsiao Law, a boutique law firm focused on helping families and businesses protect their loved ones and grow their assets. She advises clients on how to make life as good and easy as possible for the people they love, and how to grow their businesses with maximum income and impact with minimum risk.
Hsiao provides legal service to her clients in English, Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese, helping them tremendously to grasp the nuances in the law, make better decisions and have greater control over the planning process. She also focuses on building long-term relationships with her clients to ensure that her clients’ plans work when they need it.
Hsiao recently received the “Personal Family Lawyer” designation by the Family Wealth Planning Institute. She is a member of Wealth Counsel, a national organization for estate planning professionals in pursuit of practice excellence. She is also a member of the trusts and estates section in the State Bar of California, the North County Bar of San Diego and the San Diego County Bar Association.
Prior to starting Hsiao Law, Hsiao worked as an attorney at Foley & Lardner LLP; a law clerk at Higgs, Fletcher & Mack; and a judicial extern for the Hon. Irma Gonzalez (retired). Hsiao is a graduate of California Western School of Law.
Hsiao is very active in the community. She is the president-elect for the San Diego Chinese Attorneys Association, board member for Pan Asian Lawyers of San Diego and co-chairwoman for Red, Wine and Brew Committee of Lawyers Club. She is also a member of the Taiwanese American Professionals and Pacific Arts Movement. She had previously served as secretary on the International Law Section of the San Diego County Bar Association.
Hsiao is well connected in the local Chinese community and is a frequent author for We Chinese Magazine, a local Chinese magazine and newspaper.
