Irina Sherbak is the owner and founder of the Law Offices of Irina Sherbak APC, a law firm solely dedicated to the preservation, protection and distribution of estates.
Sherbak emigrated from the Ukraine in 1996, and is the first of her family to graduate from a four-year university and to obtain a graduate degree. In 2008, she received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, San Diego, completing a full coursework for a political science major and a law and society minor in just two years. She received her Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law. Sherbak took and passed the bar in 2012. While attending law school, she was an active member of the Jewish Student Union (secretary from 2011-12). In addition, Sherbak was on the dean’s list, a member of the Pro Bono Honors Society and earned an Academic Achievement Award in alternative dispute resolutions.
Sherbak’s interest in the practice of estate planning was evident early in law school. She is a firm believer that estate planning is more than an area of expertise. Rather, it is counseling clients on issues that are near and dear to their hearts, giving them peace of mind and helping them leave a lasting legacy for their families. Prior to opening her own practice, Sherbak worked for a solo estate planning practitioner, as well as a medium-size estate planning firm.
Sherbak is admitted to practice before all the courts in the state of California. She is a member of the State Bar of California, San Diego County Bar Association and the Estate Planning Section of the San Diego County Bar Association. In addition, she serves on the California Western School of Law Alumni Association board of directors. Sherbak is fluent in Russian, verbal and written.
