NEW YORK (Dow Jones News) - Ziff-Davis Inc. said Thursday it acquired Walt Disney Co.'s 50-percent interest in FamilyPC magazine for an undisclosed sum.
The magazine, which has a circulation of 400,000, was launched in 1994 as a 50-50 partnership between Ziff-Davis and Disney.
Ziff-Davis, based in New York, is a media and marketing company focused on computing and Internet-related technology. It had revenue of $228 million in the quarter ended March 31.
Disney is based in Burbank, Calif.
