Cracking the Internet Marketing Code – Academy for Business Success

Turn on your television, read the newspaper, or listen to your radio and you’ll agree it’s nearly impossible to ignore the grim financial news that pervades the country. The word ‘recession’ comes up routinely, and is validated by high consumer prices, mortgage meltdown and the failure of some of our largest corporations.
Although the focus has been on multi-billion dollar business industry giants, the current financial crisis trickles down to even the smallest businesses. The pizza restaurant down the street just raised their prices due to cost of supplies going up. Several homes in the neighborhood are now ‘Bank Owned’ and have been that way for nearly a year. The cute little boutique over at the strip mall just closed down – sales apparently had gone down significantly and they could no longer afford the lease. So, if you’re a small business person or an aspiring entrepreneur, what can you do to prosper in these challenging conditions?
One under-utilized and misunderstood business tool is Internet Marketing – leveraging the power of the Internet to reach targeted potential customers. Despite the mystique of marketing online, a savvy business person cannot ignore the fact that online purchases are projected for double-digit growth over the next several years: $204 Billion in 2008, $235.4 billion in 2009, $267.8 billion in 2010, $301 billion in 2011, and $334.7 billion in 2012 according to Forrester Research.
To find out more about Internet Marketing and how it can benefit your current or future business, you need to educate yourself. University of San Diego recognizes the need for practical, real-world training for today's business community, and has created a unique and innovative solution for business owners, managers, and professionals alike. Unlike the typical brown-bag luncheon, the Academy for Business Success provides a group-coaching experience in a small classroom setting. University of San Diego has charged the best and brightest in their respective industries to relay their knowledge, lead companies towards growth, and facilitate the learning process for our students.
January’s four-week course will focus on targeting students’ business’ potential for growth by means of the Internet. Amongst other topics, tracking results, eCommerce, search engine optimization, and link building strategies will be addressed, and students will be able to work directly on their own business to generate new/more revenue immediately.
So what are you waiting for? Open new avenues for your business to draw increased revenue. To learn more about the program and become involved, go to: www.sandiego.edu/sucess.
