More than 200 businesses took part in the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce's annual North San Diego County Business Showcase on Wednesday.
The event, held at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, featured a variety of companies from San Diego County to San Clemente.
More than 10 chambers of commerce were represented at the showcase including those from Fallbrook, Solana Beach and Encinitas.
The North San Diego County Business Showcase displayed a “Green Scene” this year, which hosted environmentally friendly businesses.
One company, Solatube, makes it possible for homeowners and businesses to bring in natural lighting more effectively than using skylights.
Tim Demming, the sales and marketing manager for the company said the installation of Solatubes in a home or business can save customers hundreds of dollars in electricity costs.
Companies ranged from large ones like Tri-City Medical Center to small businesses like the one-man company the O.C. Party Pirate.
Business owners and marketing representatives primarily attended the event.
Aside from hosting a variety of businesses, there was an electronic waste recycling drive held at the event.
Participants were encouraged to bring their "e-waste" to receive a 50 percent discount off the $10 admission.
