INDUS Technology is premier provider of services for industry, government

Related Special Reports

INDUS Technology Inc. is an employee-owned, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in San Diego. The company provides a multitude of core capabilities to government and industry clients, including engineering services, information technology services, acquisition, logistics and program management, and finance administration and contract support.

INDUS Technology Inc. was formed in 1991 by Dr. Kathleen Sridhar as a consulting engineering company. The firm began government services work in early 1998 and has rapidly grown into a company with a reputation for having superior performance and excellent service in order to best meet customers' needs. Under the leadership of James Lasswell, president and CEO, INDUS has grown tremendously and experienced success in new locations, as well as previous ones. INDUS has grown to include offices in San Diego; Port Hueneme, Calif.; Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; Washington D.C.; Norfolk, Va.; Charleston, S.C.; Keyport, Wash.; Colorado Springs, Colo.; Phoenix, Ariz.; Newport, R.I.; and Pensacola, Fla.

This year, as with every year, INDUS has been busy. The company was awarded the contract for Management Support Services for Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) worth more than $6 million. INDUS will be providing support services for NSWC PHD's Public Affairs, Continuous Process Improvement, Facilities Engineering, Financial Management, Strategic Planning, Workforce Development and General Management. INDUS was also a contributing part of DRC's team, which was awarded the Network-Centric Solutions-2 (NETCENTS-2) Enterprise Integration and Service Management (EISM), Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) contract in support of the Air Force and worth up to $460 million.

INDUS has also transitioned into an employee-owned company with its implementation of an Employee Stock Option Program (ESOP), which was invested with ownership of 33 percent of the company. The central focus of the ESOP is to allow the employees to share in the continued growth experienced by INDUS and to gain ownership interest in the stock of the company due to possessing a direct economic interest. The ESOP has not affected the day-to-day operations of INDUS, instead it created a greater incentive for the employees of INDUS to maintain their track record of superior service for our customers.

INDUS has also been busy with contributing to a worthy cause within the community. The company hosts an annual invitational golf tournament at Admiral Baker Golf Course, which will be held on Oct. 21. Last year INDUS was able to raise $6,500 to give to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. This year, the company hopes to raise even more money and to provide a greater service in partnership with the community. Anyone interested in participating or donating to this worthy cause, please check out the website at indusgolf.teamindus.com.

The continuing hard work of INDUS' employees is crucial to the company's goal of providing its customers with the best service. INDUS will continue to achieve greater successes while remembering to provide the best service to its customers, teammates and employees.
