CUPERTINO, Calif. (AP) -- There is a report of a shooting at a quarry in Northern California.
KGO-TV says Santa Clara County Sheriff's officials have confirmed that two people died and four others were injured early Wednesday morning when an employee opened fire at a meeting at the Permanente Quarry in Cupertino. The suspect is reportedly not in custody.
Calls to Santa Clara County Sheriff's officials by The Associated Press were not immediately returned.
According to the Santa Clara County website, Permanente Quarry is a limestone and aggregate mining operation and cement plant located in the foothills above Cupertino.
