Children between the ages of 2 and 8 are invited to drop off their favorite stuffed animal at the Murrieta Library by 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26 for a sleepover.
Once the library closes, the stuffed animals will go on all sorts of adventures. On Wednesday, June 27 at 10:30 a.m., the children can come to pick up their cuddly friends in the Library Community Room and enjoy doughnuts while watching a slideshow of their overnight fun. A craft activity will immediately follow the slideshow.
"Kids love the idea of their stuffed friends having fun behind the scenes in the library after it is closed," Youth Services Librarian Allison Eagans said. "The sleepover is a great connection to the Library’s Summer Reading Program's 'Dream Big -- READ!' theme and provides an opportunity for the parents to get involved by encouraging the child to think about the many fun adventures their stuffed animal may be having throughout the night."
This event is free and open to the public. Space is limited to the first 60 stuffed animals; one per child. The Murrieta Public Library is located at 8 Town Square (Adams Avenue and Kalmia Street. For more information about the program call 951-304-BOOK (2665) or visit the Library's website at www.murrietalibrary.info.
