LANCASTER, Calif. (AP) -- New molestation charges have been filed against a Southern California soccer coach, bringing the total number of boys he allegedly victimized to 13.
Charged earlier this month with molesting five boys, Los Angeles County prosecutors filed the new charges Thursday against 50-year-old Renoir Valenti.
Valenti pleaded not guilty to the charges and is being held on $2.25 million bail.
He is charged with five felony counts of continuous sexual abuse and eight misdemeanor counts of child molesting involving boys between the ages of five and 15.
Valenti lives in Lancaster and has been a coach for 16 years in the American Youth Soccer Organization.
Five of the boys in the charges were on teams he coached.
