Dana Point body identified as missing swimmer

DANA POINT, Calif. (AP) -- Authorities say the body of a man recovered in the ocean off Dana Point has been identified as a swimmer who went missing over Labor Day weekend.

Coroner's officials say an autopsy is planned this week for 34-year-old Frank Daniel Austin of Rowland Heights.

The Orange County Register reports (http://bit.ly/OxcuYU ) Austin's body was found Saturday off Monarch Beach.

Austin's mother reported him missing Sept. 2, several hours after he went swimming in high surf at Salt Creek Beach.

Members of the Coast Guard and Dana Point Harbor Patrol searched for Austin for four days.
