Feeding America SD feeds more than 1,000 on Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving, Feeding America San Diego joined forces with local partners to host meals and deliver food for less fortunate families, seniors and homeless in San Diego.

San Diego's largest food bank partnered with the House of Blues, San Diego Unified School District and The New Children's Museum, according to a release, for two separate sit-down meals at House of Blues and The New Children's Museum on Thanksgiving Day.

House of Blues San Diego fed 600 at its seventh annual House of Giving Event. Meals were donated by MOGL, the customer loyalty platform for restaurants that has a "Meal for a Meal" donation program built in to its business model.

The New Children's Museum event fed 600 additional children and families from the San Diego Unified School District's Children and Youth in Transition department. The venue and art activities were donated by The New Children's Museum, with meals donated by Ralph's and Food4Less.
