Hotel del Coronado to host Make-A-Wish skating competition

On Wednesday, local media personalities and celebrities will go head-to-head in an ice skating competition at the Hotel del Coronadoís beachside rink to promote Make-A-Wish Foundation's seventh annual national Season of Wishes holiday campaign.

A spin on the FOX show "So You Think You Can Dance," the skating competition treats Wish Kids to a welcome reception with snacks and hot cocoa, a meet and greet with media personalities and local celebrities, and front-row seats to the show. Hosted by reigning champs and KUSI anchors Brad Perry and Alexis DelChiaro, skating teams include media personalities from NBC 7, Channel 933, U-T San Diego and FOX 5.

The show will begin at 6 p.m. and is open to the public. Afterward, the ice skating rink will be open to Make-A-Wish families for an evening of skating.
