Office building on Palomar Oaks in Carlsbad sold

The 47,437-square-foot office building at 1959 Palomar Oaks Way, Carlsbad 92010, has been sold for $5,093,070, cash.

The buyer was 1959 Palomar Oaks, L.P., a California limited partnership, 3055 Enterprise Court, Vista 90281, Attn: Arthur R. Barter.

The seller of the property (assessor's parcel 213-092-26) was TRS Palomar Oaks, LLC, commonly known as Bixby Land Company, with Hathaway Ventures Inc. as sole member. Aaron D. Hill is vice president of Hathaway and Martin T. O'Hea is chief financial officer.

The seller was represented by Tucker Hohenstein, Chris Williams, and Mike Erwin of Colliers International. Bill Driscoll of Ashcraft Investment Company represented the buyer.

Arthur Barter is owner of Datron World Communications, a producer of tactical and public safety communications products. Datron plans to occupy a portion of the building for its own professional space and lease out the remaining balance.

The three-story building is located in Carlsbad's Palomar Tech Oaks Park. The Class B office property underwent extensive interior and exterior renovations under the seller’s ownership.
