National MS Society raises nearly half a million dollars at dinner

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society in San Diego raised $470,000 at its 26th annual MS Dinner Auction at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort, according to a release. Proceeds will benefit MS research and programs and services for people living with MS, a chronic and disabling disease of the central nervous system with no known cause, cure or prevention.

The annual MS Dinner Auction, considered one of San Diegoís largest charity dinner auctions with 700 silent and live auction items, is traditionally held in November as a jump start to holiday shopping. Silent and live auction packages range from $100 to $25,000.
