The following "Local Notes" appeared in The Daily Transcript's Jan. 11, 1915 issue:
The cruiser San Diego leaves for Mazatlan tomorrow morning, and will remain in southern waters for practically a month.


The Mary Dodge, which was to have sailed tomorrow for Mexican ports, will not leave until Thursday.


The quartet of the Ad Club in Los Angeles entertained the guests at the Grant hotel last night by a concert in the lobby. The concert in the hotel followed a parade down Broadway with the boosters from Los Angeles.


A telegram from Congressman Kettner to President Davidson yesterday announced the fact that the federal government has passed a bill creating a military aide for him. Capt. R. F. Rifnberick has been acting as temporary aide for President Davidson.


S. Bonni, who was struck by an automobile on Saturday night, is at the present time in a serious condition. At the time he was injured it was not thought he was hurt seriously, but later he grew much worse and fears are now entertained for his recovery.
