Man charged with murder in 4 LA slayings

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- A 31-year-old man has been charged with murder in the shooting deaths of four people who were shot dead on the front lawn of an unlicensed boarding house in the Northridge section of Los Angeles.

City News Service reports Ka Pasasouk was charged Thursday for the Dec. 2 slayings after being extradited to Los Angeles from Las Vegas, where he was arrested at the Silverton Hotel and Casino one day after the killings.

Pasasouk is charged in the deaths of 24-year-old Amanda Ghossen, 26-year-old Jennifer Kim, 34-year-old Robert Calabia and 49-year-old Teofilo Navales.

Three others were arrested in Nevada on suspicion of being accessories, but have not yet been charged.

Prosecutors say their investigation is ongoing.

Pasasouk is due for arraignment Jan. 25.
