With our back-to-basics approach for 2012, the Commercial Real Estate Alliance of San Diego County made considerable strides in membership retention, increased membership and improved overall membership involvement.

By showing and stressing the value of membership, our board of directors and committees focused on reinvigorating our organization, continued to raise the bar by providing new and innovative programs, events, and other products that our members were looking to receive and benefit from.

Once again, by ensuring high-caliber resources and offering high-quality events, the success achieved in 2012 was primarily due to all our active volunteers and the incredible support staff at SDAR. We could not have done it without them. Thank you!

This past year, we presented educational seminars, hosted our deals exchange pitch sessions, the joint Real Estate Expo with SDAR, two large-scale networking only events, our October-fest and Fiesta the Mayo, and the industry-renown annual Deal Maker's Awards event, which happens once again today at the San Diego Yacht Club. This event is anticipated to be a huge success.

Under the uninterrupted leadership and direction of our board, CRASD will continue to provide invaluable resources to the commercial real estate brokerage community. Both the outgoing and incoming leadership teams are committed to continue to increase membership, provide valuable networking and educational opportunities, and to advocate for policies that enhance the ability and opportunities of our members -- which will help them conduct their business successfully and ethically while promoting the preservation of the right to own, use, and transfer real property.

Continuing to build relationships and making new connections will be especially important for real estate brokers in 2013. CRASD will strive to provide a platform for brokers who want to not only differentiate themselves, but also to help elevate the commercial real estate brokerage industry. We invite all of our colleagues who are not yet part of CRASD to join us in what is considered to be an important component of your business and marketing plan.

Best wishes for an incredible 2013. We look forward to your active participation and involvement in the continued success of one of San Diego's leading commercial real estate organizations, CRASD.
