EarthRisk Tech opens new HQ in downtown San Diego

EarthRisk Technologies, a weather risk research firm, has established new headquarters in downtown San Diego to accomodate its growth.

EarthRisk doubled the size of its staff in 2011, and nearly doubled again in 2012. The company also saw significant revenue gains during this period, according to a company press release.

Targeting the energy industry, agriculture and other key sectors where information on extreme weather risk is critical, EarthRisk's core offering TempRisk, forecasts both hot and cold weather patterns up to 40 days before they occur, a lead time more than twice as long as most widely used weather simulation models.

The new office location is on 1111 Sixth Avenue, Suite 402, in San Diego.
