Skylight Healthcare's CTO to address HIMS annual conference

San Diego-based Skylight Healthcare Systems announced Thursday that its Chief Technology Officer, Rick Holbrook, will deliver a presentation titled “The Power of Patient Engagement” at the Healthcare Information and Management Society’s annual conference in New Orleans on March 4.

The presentation will discuss how interactive patient systems can seamlessly integrate with hospital IT systems, including electronic medical records, orders, nurse calls and other experiences to reduce a nurse’s workload.

Holbrook will also address how interactive patient systems help foster interoperability among multiple departments and the overall impact this can have on the patient experience.

Additionally, he will discuss the impact of connecting with the patient pre-admission and post-discharge to collect vital outcome data that can help hospitals optimize care.
