WHITTIER, Calif. (AP) -- Police in the Los Angeles County city of Whittier say they're seeking a kidnapping suspect who may have forced two young girls into a car.
A police statement says an 11-year-old girl was walking alone Thursday when a Hispanic man between 25 and 35 years old forced her into the back seat of a red convertible with a tan roof. Inside she saw another girl, about seven years old, crying.
Police say the girl freed herself and the younger girl near a park, and they ran in opposite directions.
The 11-year-old found her way home and called police.
Police have not found the younger girl, but have received no reports of missing children.
Two similar incidents involving teenage girls and a similar suspect and car were reported on Feb. 5.
