TVE2 fosters startup collaboration

In an effort to support the local entrepreneurial ecosystem, Temecula Valley Entrepreneur’s Exchange, in partnership with Startup Circle, hosted a collaborative networking event on June 26th. At the TVE2 technology incubator event, techies and innovative entrepreneurial minds gathered to meet and exchange ideas.

There were approximately 40 in attendance to hear pitches from the incubators’ client companies, including:

“Action is everything” to NZN Labs, Inc.; their first product, LIT, is an activity tracker optimized for action. They recently closed a successful Indiegogo funding campaign and will begin manufacturing their product to get in your hands later this summer! Check them out at www.nznlabs.com

Anywhere Science, Inc. is developing distributed mobile testing and analysis systems aimed at improving human health and wellbeing. Anywhere Science’s LabStrip system is designed to transform smartphones into personalized mobile laboratories. Testing, interpretation, and decision making can then be stored in the Cloud. iWARE Industries Inc. has developed hands-free, mobile iPad accessories, which are effective in improving the functionality of the device. The Corsair can be pre-ordered at www.iwareit.com

Promethean Dynamics is the research, development, and commercialization division of Promethean Biofuels. They are currently working on their IP.

Attendees also heard from local co-founder and CEO of Appstack, Steve Espinosa. Appstack, headquartered in Temecula’s Old Town area, creates mobile websites for small businesses, and then uses Google advertising to drive traffic to them. Steve was named on Inc.com’s 30 under 30 list in 2012. He shared his story with the group and encouraged them to "make it happen" with their startups.

Another highlight at the event was the opportunity to try out a pair of Google Glass. Local resident and technology enthusiast Cecilia Abadie is a Google Glass pioneer and shared her passion for the product. Many had the opportunity to try on Glass for the first time!
