UCSD presents talk on 'Five Things Everyone Should Know About the Syrian Civil War'

University of California, San Diego will host a public talk, “Five Things Everyone Should Know About the Syrian Civil War,” on Wednesday at Robinson Auditorium on campus.

A panel of five civil war experts from the departments of economics and political science and the School of International Relations and Pacific Studies will answer questions about the war in Syria and U.S. involvement.

The panelists include Barbara Walter, political science professor; Eli Berman, economics professor; Jesse Driscoll, political science professor; Stephan Haggard, Lawrence and Sallye Krause professor of Korea-Pacific studies; and Miles Kahler, Rohr professor of Pacific international relations.

The event will run from 5 to 6:30 p.m. It is free and open to the public, but registration is required. For more information, contact Christine Clark at ceclark@ucsd.edu or 858-534-7618.
