Miller is 5th Calif. rep. to retire this Congress

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Five members of the California delegation have decided to retire during the current Congress. The list is organized by political party:

Rep. Gary Miller

Party: Republican

First elected: 1998

Age: 65

Represents: District 31, Inland area east of Los Angeles, including San Bernardino

Rep. Howard “Buck” McKeon

Party: Republican

First elected: 1992

Age: 75

Represents: District 25, primarily northern Los Angeles County, including Palmdale, Lancaster and Santa Clarita

Rep. John Campbell

Party: Republican

First elected: 2005 (special election)

Age: 58

Represents: District 45, Orange County, including Irvine and Lake Forest

___

Rep. Henry Waxman

Party: Democrat

First elected: 1974

Age: 74

Represents: District 33, Los Angeles-area beach communities, including Malibu and Santa Monica

Rep. George Miller

Party: Democrat

First elected: 1974

Age: 68

Represents: District 11, Eastern San Francisco Bay Area, including Richmond, Concord and Danville
