Village agreement on Carlsbad docket

In Del Mar on Monday, the City Council will hear a presentation from James Watkins and Kathleen Leeger on a concept of how to develop a public-private partnership at 1050 Camino del Mar.

At the Carlsbad City Council on Tuesday, the council is expected to extend the agreement with Urban Place Consulting Group Inc. to complete the implementation of the Village Revitalization Partnership Program.

Also Tuesday, the Chula Vista City Council is planning to waive the formal bidding process and award a two-party agreement William Hezmalhalch Architects Inc. and the city for consulting services related to the preparation of the University Park and Innovation District.

On Thursday, Civic San Diego is slated to hear a request for the construction of a 1,400-square-foot rooftop extension on a three-story building located at 627 Eighth Street.

Also Thursday, the San Diego Planning Commission is scheduled to hear eight items, including a request for to appeal the Sunroad Centrum's fourth and fifth phases.

This project involves removing 704 subterranean parking spaces adjacent existing and proposed commercial office buildings, adding a pedestrian bridge/walkway to connect the Phases 4 and 5 buildings, and an increase in building height by 5 feet.
