4 arrested in melee at Lancaster mobile home park

LANCASTER, Calif. (AP) -- Los Angeles County sheriff's officials say four people have been arrested and one person is hospitalized following a melee at a mobile home park in Lancaster.

Lt. Richard Martinez says a fight involving a large number of people broke out Wednesday night at the Blue Skies Mobile Home Park.

He says it was apparently prompted after an assault by two juveniles using a metal rod and possibly a scooter against two other people.

City News Service reports the two male juveniles were booked for assault with a deadly weapon.

Martinez says multiple sheriff's units were dispatched. As deputies tried to restore order, another assault occurred, which resulted in another two arrests.

The nature of the hospitalized person's injuries was not immediately known.
