Voxox names Shravan Kumar VP of system engineering

Voxox, a cloud-based rich communication service for consumers and businesses, named Shravan Kumar as vice president of system engineering.

Kumar will be leading the system engineering team at Voxox and will be focusing on expanding the business by offering the company’s solutions to operators and original equipment manufacturer partners. In addition, Kumar will be working closely with the product, engineering and marketing teams to enhance Voxox’s existing products and optimize system design solutions required to service the company’s large scale partners and end-customers.

Kumar has more than 15 years of experience in legacy and next generation wireless and IP networks. Kumar worked at Mavenir Systems for seven years, building several key products that included carrier-grade SBC, IMS core and application servers, as well as virtualized evolved packet core. Kumar was the sole architect of the VoLTE launch, as well as the RCS launch, with MetroPCS. He has also served in product development and management roles with Sonus, Motorola and Telesoft.

Kumar earned a bachelor of engineering degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
