SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Two San Diego police officers who are husband and wife have been arrested on suspicion of possessing and selling drugs.
Authorities say 41-year-old Jennifer Charpentier and 32-year-old Bryce Charpentier were taken into custody around 11:30 a.m. Thursday. They were booked into jails and there's no word on whether they have lawyers.
Jennifer Charpentier has 18 years with the department and works out of the Western Division. Her husband is a six-year veteran assigned to the Mid-City Division.
County sheriff's deputies made the arrests during a drug task force investigation but details haven't been released.
San Diego police say the officers have been placed on leave and the department is cooperating with the sheriff's investigation.
