From prayers to fury: The journey of Bowe Bergdahl

It is disturbing to read the circumstances surrounding his "disappearance" and events leading up to it. These items, I trust will take care of themselves in a proper manner through the military justice system. On face value, it appears that he has lots of explaining to do. Even more disturbing, however, is the childish political ploy by our President to associate himself as some kind of savior for doing this one-sided trade. He had to know the same facts as presented in the article and that any reasonable person would have lots of valid questions in regards to his disappearance and capture. Yet he elevated Bergdahl to a hero with the staging of his return for his own political benefit which appears now to be backfiring. Did he not think that the American people would see right through this charade?
