Cox Home Security's remote access offers control while at work

With Cox Communications' home security and automation services, customers can use the latest technology to keep their families and their homes safe -- and check on the house and family while at work.

Cox Home Security enables customers to access features not found in most traditional alarm systems such as using their smart phone or laptop to monitor their home security cameras while away at the office, running errands or on vacation. They can also receive a text message when there is an occurrence at the home.

No two installations are exactly alike," Madison said. "And, only the customer can view what is on the video cameras, which are controlled completely by the customer."

The Cox Home Security system comes with up to $350 in free equipment with a $49 installation and three-year contract. The professionally monitored Cox Home Security service plans start at $29.99 a month.
