The public affairs firm Katz & Associates has announced that company founder and CEO Sara Katz has delegated her day-to-day management duties to a new president, Lewis Michaelson.
Described by the firm as Katz's "right-hand man," Michaelson has been with the agency for 15 years. Katz's plan is reportedly to focus on long-term strategies rather than daily operations, while remaining as the firm's CEO.
"She will continue to support key clients, while the organizational change will give her the flexibility needed to offer advanced strategic counsel," the company said in a release.
Katz said Lewis had earned her trust and that of the company's staff and clients. Katz & Associates has three offices, including in Roseville, Calif., San Francisco and San Diego. The firm has been contracted with the city of San Diego in its outreach campaigns for water re-use projects.
