ANTIOCH, Calif. (AP) -- Police in the San Francisco Bay Area have arrested a teenager in connection with the shooting of an 11-year-old boy.
The boy was wounded and expected to survive.
He was shot outside an apartment complex in Antioch on Thursday. Antioch police Cpl. James McMurry tells the Contra Costa Times (http://bit.ly/1zefWQQ) a 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and negligent discharge of a firearm later that day.
He says the 11-year-old is in stable condition.
Police did not release additional details about the shooting.
