Qualcomm Inc. (Nasdaq: QCOM) announced Monday that it has donated $325,000 to assist in earthquake relief efforts in China's Yunnan Province.
Qualcomm has committed the funds to Charities Aid Foundation of America (CAF America), which has made a grant from its fund to the China Youth Development Foundation, at the company's suggestion.
CAF America is a global grant-making organization assisting corporations, foundations and individuals. It helps donors support causes by assisting them in making strategic grants internationally and domestically.
China Youth Development Foundation's main programs focus on rural education including school construction, teacher training, student scholarships and school-based nutrition programs.
