SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Authorities say eight bicyclists were hurt when they were struck by a car traveling the wrong way around a curve on San Diego's Fiesta Island.
UT San Diego (http://bit.ly/1sQH3ga ) reports the bicyclists were riding in a group when they were struck about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
San Diego Fire-Rescue spokesman Lee Swanson says six of the cyclists were taken to hospitals. Two declined medical treatment.
The conditions of the six were not immediately known.
San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros says the driver, a 49-year-old woman, was arrested for investigation of driving under the influence.
