Rick Alexander joins Sperry Van Ness Finest City Commercial

Rick Alexander has recently joined Sperry Van Ness Finest City Commercial.

Alexander has been active in commercial real estate for more than 30 years and has been an integral part of many projects from land acquisitions, subdivisions, build-out and final sales.

In the public sector, as a previously elected official, Alexander worked closely with Fish and Wild Life, Fish and Game and the San Diego County Board of Supervisors to craft and successfully have issued the first 4d permit in California for the gnat catcher. This initial step opened the opportunity for many other developers, both public and private, to go forward with their projects. In the private sector he has been active in helping owners solve problems with hazardous materials, which require the removal of tanks and contaminated soil.

Alexander has done numerous build-to-suits, tenant improvements and complicated corporate moves, including working with the U.S Government moving both the Census Bureau and The Federal Bureau of Investigation. As an investment specialist he has helped clients both purchase and sell investment opportunities. He has represented private, public and nonprofit clients in their search for income producing properties.

Rick served for 20 years as a publicly elected member of the Grossmont Cuyamaca Community College District. He is a past chairman of the East County Economic Development Council and has served on the San Diego County’s Assessment Appeals Board.
