Golf pros swing for ‘Birdies for Charity’

More than 150 PGA professionals from around the world are swinging for a good cause during “Birdies for Charity” through Feb. 8 at the Farmers Insurance Open PGA Tour held at Torrey Pines Golf Course.

The event aims to raise $160,000 for local organizations including Junior Achievement of San Diego, and donations will help more than 53,000 students in K-12 classrooms throughout the 2015-2016 school year.

Junior Achievementís volunteer-based programs teach kids how to get a job, start a business and how money works. Individuals or corporations can make flat donations or pledge donations for every birdie made by the professional golfers during the competitive rounds of the 2015 Farmers Insurance Open.
