Daily Journal purchases Transcript name, masthead

On July 22, 2015 William Revelle, chairman of the San Diego Daily Transcript, a California Corporation, announced the newspaper, The Daily Transcript, would cease publication on or about Sept. 1, 2015. For the present, the corporation will continue publishing San Diego focused business news, data and information on its website, the San Diego Source at SDDT.com.

Today, Gerald Salzman, president of the Daily Journal Corporation., announced the purchase of the name and masthead, The Daily Transcript, and certain other assets. The Daily Journal will publish a new version of The Daily Transcript and the website www.sdtranscript.com starting Sept. 2.

Good news! The Daily Journal is a respected publisher and will certainly bring credibility to the new publication.
