In what has been billed as the largest office property sale in Chula Vista so far this year, an owner/user has purchased an 87,000-square-foot office building in the EastLake Business Center.

From the family behind Bencotto Italian Kitchen in Little Italy, now comes Monello -- which translates to "naughty little boy" -- a restaurant of Milanese street food cuisine led by Executive Chef Fabrizio Cavallini.

The following "Local Notes" appeared in The Daily Transcript's Nov. 23, 1913, issue:
New electric signs have been placed over the entrance to the Spreckels theatre announcing the Hippodrome vaudeville, which will be shown there hereafter instead of road shows. The opening performance was given last night before a crowded house.
The arrest of B. F. Kearney has resulted in a confession by him of how his gang stole automobiles and made them over so they could be sold without danger of detection. It is thought that Kearney has been implicated in the theft of sixty automobiles during the last year.
The steam schooner Noyo ran ashore off La Jolla yesterday morning, having been driven four miles off her course by a strong inshore current. The tug Bahada towed the Noyo to this city yesterday. Only the funnel, masts and upper part of the cabin were showing above water as she was brought into port. That the vessel did not founder when she struck was due to the fact that she carried a cargo of lumber.
The monitor Cheyenne and the three submarines-H-1, H-2, H-3-left this morning for Los Angeles in order to give the officers and men an opportunity to have Thanksgiving with their families. They will return on Friday.
The Glacier left for Mexico yesterday, carrying Thanksgiving supplies for the United States ships in Mexican waters. Over 10,000 ice cream bricks and other delicacies are on board to be distributed in time for Thanksgiving dinner.

The newly constructed four-unit apartment in North Park at 3827-3833 Louisiana St., San Diego 92104, has been sold for $1.25 million.

(Bloomberg) -- Blackstone Group LP expects to increase sales of its property holdings in the next year, with potential buyers including real estate investment trusts and sovereign wealth funds, said Jonathan Gray, the firm's global head of real estate.
